These are worthless. I opened the first three and they all had stains on - see images. These are obviously made from old second hand (cheap) silk sarees. Definitely not new. These should be marketed as such. They are also overlocked with rainbow thread that just makes it look worse.

I absolutely love these scarves! Although they are not in pristine condition i think it adds to the character and feel authentic.
2 scarves were used for this top. ( new look K6245) luckily I had 2 the same! And a little lining out of my stash for the facings.
I have a few ideas for the rest and I'm looking forward to making more tops.
Once you prepare the fabric it's very easy to work with on my overlocker as well as straight stitch machine.

These are nice, large squares of silk. Most appear to have been ice dyed and whilst no two are the same there are groups so I have been able to find a couple of 'matching pairs' to make into summer tops. with so many, so cheap it's been nice to allow friends to choose a couple. Others will go for patchwork. There were a couple of downsides- they originally stunk, whether through mustiness or poor rinsing of the dyes I don't know but a wash dealt with the pong. The finish is pretty rough but I have some wooly nylon coming to redo the edges.

Furoshiki, the age-old fabric craft from Japan, is a delightful way to give two gifts at the same time. As always, the scarves have a slightly musty smell until unwrapped and aired, no problem. These scarves are lovely some of them have small stains and holes!but they are a good size so you can cut them to make smaller scarves!I would recommend washing them and then Iron them it makes them softer!I am using them to wrap gifts in Like the Japanese do and I will make some nice silk gift bags and Eye masks!I did buy two more lots because they are excellent value where else could you get silk for this price!!
